MARYSVILLE, CA (MPG) –
Caltrans is alerting motorists that State Route 70 (SR-70) will have one-way traffic controls overnight starting
Tuesday, April 30 through Thursday, May 2 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between 18th Street and 24th Street near the Union Pacific Railroad overpass in Marysville.

The one-way traffic control is needed to move large construction equipment for an ongoing drainage improvement construction project to rebuild pump plants at two locations. The work is in advance of the upcoming $164 million SR-70 Binney Junction Roadway and Complete Streets Project, scheduled to start in March 2025. Commuters are urged to plan ahead if traveling through the Binny Junction area of SR-70 tonight.
Motorists are encouraged to check Caltrans’ QuickMap before traveling for current road conditions and chain requirements or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google Play. Road information is also available on Caltrans’ website or by calling the California Highway Information Network automated phone service at 1-800-427-ROAD (7623).
