YUBA CITY, CA (MPG) - The laughter of children, and the heavenly smell of pancakes and coffee wafted through the air as the kids lined up to have photos taken with Santa at the Breakfast with Santa event held at the Sutter County Veterans Hall in Yuba City on Saturday.

The Early Risers Kiwanis hosted the popular event, serving up pancakes, sausage, coffee, milk, and juice at $5 per adult. Kids 12 and under were free.

Adding to the excitement were brightly costumed Santa’s elves greeting the children in line as they waited for their chance to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. After a smile and a photo, a bedazzled elf handed out Santa books and candy.

Along with a delicious meal, the kids were entertained with storytelling, face painting, crafts, and balloon sculptures. The craft activities included stringing beads to make bracelets, coloring reindeer posters, and creating paper tree ornaments to take home.
